I sense an increasing interest in landscape as an effective tool for solving a variety of emerging structural social problems, such as the aging society, urban depopulation and redevelopment, and regional and environmental challenges.
Designing a landscape is about establishing communication between people and the environment. More specifically, it is about enhancing the values of a given location/place/space through shared exploitation of its diverse inherent resources as public assets. Using a landscape approach, I try to establish footholds for addressing social issues while creating beauty, fulfillment, joy, and discoveries in our daily lives.
